7:45PM – 8:30PM: Cultural Performances

8:30PM:  Ganesh Puja and Aarti

8:45: Mahaprasadam (Dinner)

Second Day – 8th September

9:00AM: Praana Pratishta (Invoking Lord Ganesha into Idol), Shodashopachara Puja

9:30AM – 11:30AM: Ganesha Samuhika Vratam (Priest Guided Vratam)

11:30AM – 11:45AM: Vidyaabhyasam*

11:45AM – 12:00PM: Laddu Auction 

12:00PM – 1:30PM: Teertha Prasad, Maha Prasadam (Lunch)

1:30PM – 3:15PM: Cultural/ Devotional Programmes (Performances) 

3:15PM – 3:30PM: Prize Distribution

3:30PM – 3:45PM: Announcement of Raffle Ticket winners

*Vidyabhyasa Puja: Performed specially for children/students to gain abundant knowledge & achieve success in their endeavours. 
Note: If interested, please ensure your children come with a couple of school books, typically any critical subjects, to perform Puja.

GANESHA VRATHAM

We’re pleased to confirm places for ALL devotees who opted for performing Ganesha Vratam.

We request all Vratham devotees to be at Venue by 8:45AM.

Devotees will be provided with all required puja items (Kumkum, Turmeric, Ganesh Murthy, Betel leaves, Fruits, Flowers, Plate, Bowl and Glass etc) on arrival.

We humbly request all Vratam Devotees to come in Ethnic Wear/Indian Traditional attire.

Parade/Procession:

Parade proceeds on footpath ONLY and would approximately take 45-60 mins based on number of people and traffic on the day. All devotees should take sole responsibility for themselves and their children while walking and crossing the road between footpaths and take extras precaustions if required.

Volunteers wtih high visibility jackets will be guiding the Parade and all devotees must follow their instructions for everyone’s safety and successfull completion of Parade.

PCSO usually in attendence however any suspicious activities to be reported immediately.

We managed to get Band members/Dhol Players and Lezims if you anyone would like to try playing. Devotees should be extra cautious for safety while dancing and singing/chanting.

At the end of Parade Ganesh Idol will be immersed in Thames River by few trained volunteers but all other devotees must stay away from the watersdie to avoid risk of drowning.

Regular announcements about safety arrangements will be done through out the day.

Media Coverage

Media teams (Oxford Mail) will be onsite to cover news/video of the event. And we will be providing   clippings of our programme to major Indian Media (TVs/NewsPapers) post event.
